Hello everyone! I recently made the decision to switch back to BlackBerry with my purchase of the bold 9900. Anyways, what should I do first after I take it out of the box? Please do not give me dumb answers like, "Put the battery in and turn it on." I'm talking about things such as tweaks, accessory purchases (batteries, case, etc.), and OS updates. Thanks in advance!

very first thing is install bebuzz (free version) and assign custom colors to message notifications for your top five contacts.

Install BB Protect to ensure you've got a backup for all important info. I also install Data Alerter to keep track of my usage and Accuweather as my favourite weather app.

Don't forget both CB apps, they are a must.

Love it and clean it like crazy

The best case I found is one made by Rim it has the blackberry logo on the back and its just awesome.

And put a screen protector on it to prevent light scratches/scuffs!

Have a look at Advance OS and LED in App World

It's a free app that performs many functions that you would otherwise need 4 or 5 individual apps (mostly paid for ones too) to do.

Frequent and free updates too to increase functionality

Developer support is also second to none.

And yeah, good advice already given to update your pre installed OS. I agree that .658 is currently the best standard OS available.

If you feel adventurous then consider a Hybrid OS to furthr enhance performance.

Setup BB ID. It will keep your device associated with your appworld account and email addys.

I normally put a nice matte screen protector on and a case.

Some people like it, some people dont. :P

I'm a bit rough with my things.

BeBuzz is a must. Also if you like clean, simple themes, consider Seven Point Five. It's totally awesome.
