The latest by my carriers Du and Etisalat is 7.0.0.296

I don't know which OS comes preinstalled in the phone..

What according to your experience so far guys, is the better choice to start off with?

Check the leaked OS section and see what's there.

I saw the leaked one, some positive and some negative comments.

If 296 doesn't have major flaw I guess Ill install that since its the current official too on my carrier

I have been using Voda's .296 and it seems to work very well, much better battery performance than .261

Alright thanks for the input guys. 296 it is for a start then

I have always had good luck with the OSes that Vodafone release, they have been the most stable. My carrier has adopted the same version as Vodafone (296) so it's all good.

Hmm, I think I would be happy if the 9900 can get me through the day considering it has double the speed of a CPU and liquid graphics and a larger screen.

Why not just use it the way it is. None of these new OS do a thing the .261 does not do. How would you feel if you bricked your brand new 9900?

There is no hurry, wait a while for a real OS with something that improves the device.

If you say that they don't offer anything extra, I might wait then....

As long as you device is working now, why take a risk. Beware that others who do upgrade will claim two weeks between charges but we know that are maybe exaggerating a tiny bit!

Give it a month or so and there will be some real updates that will possible fix a problem and or even ADD some new features.

    Hope you enjoy your phone!
