I noticed that the OpenGL ES 2.0 is not available on the Bold Touch.
My question is...what would be the significant difference, between the Monaco (9850/9860) and the Bold Touch, considering the lack of an OpenGL ES 2.0 in the Bold spec?

    Thoughts/ideas?

It was most likely omitted in error. The functionality is built into the Snapdragon SoC they are using across all the upcoming high end phones.

So why can't it be introduced to the Bold Touch...am I missing something here?
    Please clarify!

Maybe that could be the case, but if it was omitted in error, was it also omitted in error in all the Bold specs I've seen online? How come it hasn't been corrected in the specs so far?

I believe the 99xx Bold, Torch 9810/50/60 all share the same Qualcomm CPU/Adreno GPU combination. I'm almost certain the Bold will support the same OpenGL ES 2.0 capabilities.

Will the Bold be the ideal form factor to play 3D games on over the Torches? Probably not. But it should still be just as capable. Besides, there are other uses for it besides 3D gaming.

I think you mean 8530 had Open GL. A few of the CDMA Blackberrys that were rocking the Qualcomms of the last few years supported Open GL. To my knowledge, every GSM Curve/Bold/Torch to date did not support it with their Marvell chipsets.

Since there was a mix of certain BBs supporting it and others not, developers probably saw no interest in making apps with it.

Now that most of the new BBs will support Open GL (including the Bold flagship), I see developers having a huge incentive to incorporate it this time around. RIM has stressed the Open GL 2.0 APIs in their latest BB7 SDK and I think we will see some pretty good apps this time around.

According to these specs of the 9900/9930 for developers, OpenGL is supported...

Remember the pictures showing release dates?
They all said WiFi on them.
    Except the Bold touch.

Does it mean that the touch doesn't have WiFi?
