Only 1 Bold 9930 in stock
Went mall walking today. Stopped by Best Buy Mobile to look around at cases. Overheard a sales person on the phone with another location. "I see you have one Bold 9930 in stock, can we have it? Well, we only had one too and we sold it. Doesn't look like you're selling yours."
Strange that their stores had so few units in stock. Obviously the demand is there if stores are calling each other for more units. I know the new Torch is on EOL list, is the 9930 as well?
Anyway, just thought i'd share.

I really doubt the 9930 would be EOL'd, given that it's the flagship CDMA phone. I think the demand must be high in your area.

Its not demand..if there was high demand then they would get some in stock. If you check the web you will see that Best Buy has them available...its clearly more to do with shelf space and desirability.
When i went looking for my 9930 there was none in the 5 nearest stores, and was told to order it online for ship to store. - 04-17-2012, 06:03 PM #4

Most carriers and third party vendors never carried a large stock of blackberries lately. But now it seem to be a shift and I see more and more people coming back to RIM. Also I have heard rumors of a 4G bold for Verizon this spring.

I ordered my 9650 (non-camera model) from Best Buy Mobile. Of course that wasn't in stock, but they had it the next day, not from another store but from a warehouse somewhere.

Oh, wait. No, I didn't have to go back. It was delivered to my home the very next day.

I think the RIM's distributors having issues with delivering units, not other way around. RIM MAY have cut down the production to backtrack the bricking or nuking issues. Who knows, but a the end of the day, I don't think it is the demand, but rather the supply!
