My handle says it all---maybe i got rocks in my head but my 9900 hopefully arrives tomorrow to go along with my Playbook I got just recently. I've been lurking around the group for a while and took the plunge! the playbook made up my mind to dive in and look forward to many fun times with the BB community.
word of advice: don't leave your 9900 to over charge/charge over night
welcome and enjoy
I've had my 9930 since they went onsale and have always left it on the charging pod overnight with not one issue. For the OPs sake...only difference between the 9900 and the 9930 is the radio... 9900 is GSM, 9930 is CDMA.
Be careful, some people taking plunges into BB products end up having them integrate so much into their lives that they become something like an external appendage. If you begin to feel real emotions (sentimental, warm, etc) towards your hardware, relax as this is normal. Don't be afraid to hug your hardware, it does love you too. And most importantly, DO NOT attempt to play side B of this tape, as there is no side B, even if you are instructed to do so at a later time.

Welcome to having the BEST BlackBerry available. I have had my Sprint Bold 9930 from the very 1st day it was released, and I've only had two major problems with it. 1st, my YouTube app is 50/50 chance of running videos on my 3G Network, but always works if I switch to wifi. Then a few months ago, my Bold 9930 "nuked" on me, I have re-download the software. But since all that, I can say the Bold 9930 has the BEST Qwerty keyboard ever on any smartphone device. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.
Welcome. I have also recently decided to come to the BB side...again. I've had pretty much every GSM model since the 8700c, and have always marveled at how great a mobile device the BlackBerry is.
And, this forum will help you along. Lots of BlackBerry experience here. Keep in mind, like most forums...the bad experiences you read of here only represent a very small number of users experiences. Very few ever post if they are completely happy with a device...but everybody posts when they're not!
I noramlly just charge my phone overnight, but a few months ago it "nuked" on me, I had to re-download the software and it worked fine, also when the update to 7.10.163 became available, I updated to it. And I still charge my Bold 9930 overnight, and haven't any other problems.
Well I'm not saying that it will deff happen but chances I fairly high, out of about 10 of my friends that have 9900 2 of them were nuked and both were dead after an overnight charge.
