Shouldn't there be a global findings and fixes thread for this OS version? Just suggesting some ideas for the future.

No difference. It will be the same OS, so there is no need to install the Rogers one.

I got tired of waiting so I upgraded a few minutes ago to this release and I haven't been plagued yet with the mic issue and I made like 10 calls. So fingers crossed!

it was a smooth install. I couldn't find a second vendor file too. The only problem I have noticed so far is that my LED indicator for missed calls, emails, and messages is NOT WORKING
My LED indicator is working now for messages and emails. But, its not working for "missed calls and voice messages". I've also noticed that the media card issue isn't solved too. It drives me crazy doing battery pulls and removing media card to fix that problem.

Talking about my own experience with this release, I must say that my battery life effectively halved by using this release. I came from 7.1.0.463 which could give me more than 4 hours of screen time, however this release only gives me about 2 hours of screen time!

Dude, reload the OS, but only restoring contacts and BIS data. Everything will be so damn fast and smooth, I assure you. Then restore bbm/groups, memopad and others individually. Only install apps you use. Then, it won't bog down. Turn off memory cleaning too.

That "media card cannot be read due to fatal error" thing cannot be resolved with an OS reload. The actual module is done for it, you'll need a warranty replacement or repair.

You may want to look for a second hand on sites such as EBAY or Kijiji. The would most likely be your best bet. And you wouldn't have to renew your contract at the same time.

Not sure who you were replying to, but I totally disagree, if BB10 takes as long to get right after launch as OS7 did then you are far better getting a new device now and let the mugs who must have the latest shiny new phone and must buy on day 1 have all the bricking issues and faulty units. I wouldn't consider buying anything BB10 for at least 6 months after release.
    wise approach

When you reboot your phone, you open your media folder, there is no pictures, songs, etc. You have to batt pull, remove your mmc and insert it back in. I got this thing playing around ever since im on the new .746. But its seldomly happens tho. No hardware issue here, just batt pull and, play around with the mmc and reinsert it back, everything went back to normal.

    Hello.
I have this proposition to make in benefits of us all: ONCE A NEW OS IS AVAILABLE WHO DOWNLOADED AND PLAYED WITH THE NEW RELEASE IS ASKED TO COMPLETE A POLL REGARDING BATTERY LIFE, MEMORY LEAK, BUGS OR ANY OTHER THINGS WE ARE INTERESTED IN AND THE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN ENCOUNTERED DURING THE PROCES. In this way, I think that anyone could see a rating of the different releases and if the CrackberryForum can manage a way to do so. I think it could be an idea to complete your poll with your country/carrier so in the end to not spend looking through 3, 4 or 20 Pages the things that we are expecting and that are important like battery life, memory, new specs, etc...
