I have a Rogers 9900, is this an OTA update (don't have my phone with me at the moment), or does it require connection to DM?

    Thanks.

rogers doesn't use 9930 so why would they release a version of an OS for a phone they don't offer?

Awesome. I've been using their official .391 over other versions due to the battery life. Hopefully this is even better.

I'm interested to see if AT&T users can use this as well and not have the MIC issue like the last release from roger .391 was the last OS before AT&T released .694 that worked with a good Mic.

Not really refering to Rogers in particular. New os's for the 9900 have been coming out from a few carriers. My frustration is across the board!

What I have noticed so far

    1. Application Resource Monitor
1.1 If you had downloaded the Application Resource Monitor from App World(1.0.0.35), you will have to uninstall it since the new OS comes with it pre-installed (1.0.0.30).
1.1.1 This is due to the fact that when you start up the bb, it asks for some keycode. Not sure what the keycode is and all, but this method has worked for me.

    2. New Network Connection
    2.1 Media Server
2.1.1 Allows you to share Music, Pictures, Podcasts, Videos, and Voice Notes. How to use this? Not sure lol

    3. Blacberry Device Analyzer
3.1 It "seems" as if this has disappeared, but it actually is still there. Just go to options, Device, Advanced System Settings, and type ALT + BBDA. Exit from the Advanced System Settings and then you can click it again. It should appear.

    4. Certificate Search - Unsure, but it comes with the update

    5. LED colours for contacts
5.1 You have the opportunity to set the LED colours (Red, Green, Blue, Orange, Purple, Yellow), for your contacts. The contact alert settings only apply to Phone and Messages.
5.2 You can also set the current setting to have a different colour other than the usual red LED (e.g. Vibrate mode - Phone, with a Blue Led and Text Message with a Green Led etc).

    6. Plans Application - Not sure what this is, but it shows in the Application Management tab

    7. Wi-Fi
7.1 Noticed if you try to connect to a wi-fi network, and are getting "Failed to associate with the network," then you now have the option for the bb to continue trying to connect to the wireless network in the background.

    8. Switch Applications
8.1 When you hold the Menu button down, you can switch applications, and now it shows in writing "Switch Applications" on the top when you hold the menu button down.

    9. Maps
9.1 It looks like they have also changed the look of the Maps application (the GUI). Buttons are at the bottom of the screen now.

    10. S/MIME
10.1 Looks as if there is some sort of certificate or encryption on the email options.

    11. Boot
11.1 No pop sound during boot

    12. Alarm Clock
12.1 When you go to the alarm clock, the OK and Cancel buttons have been rearranged.

    13. Keyboard
    13.1 Virtual Keyboard
13.1.1 If you go to the Typing and Language settings, then click Typing, it shows 2 keyboards. One is the virtual keyboard, the other is the physical keyboard. How to get the virtual keyboard? Not sure. Hoping if others know, they can share. Or maybe Crackberry Kevin can find out

I think that is about it for now. Hopefully I can get back on battery life after a few days

Generally no issues with Shrinking. I am using BBHTools. Sometimes shrinking certain things will cause big problems so you got to be careful. So what issues are you facing?

I feel unbelievably left out from Rogers, Just like the "Big 3" they have f###d the users of the 9790. I am starting to feel ashamed of my phone. And I love Blackberry. Any ideas on how I can get a 9900 without wasting more money? And thoughts would help.
