    Hi,

I have a Sprint 9930. I'm overseas and using a local SIM card that doesnt support data. I use wifi for data. Prior to this update, I would receive my emails and BBMs. Since the update, all works well but no emails or bbms. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

For the emails, check your emails settings. You may need to validate your emails password(s).

BBM gave me great grief with this update. This is what I did:

    1. Go to rroyy.com and downgrade your BBM.
    2. Reboot
    3. Uninstall BBM
    4. Reboot
    5. Install latest version BBM via App World
    6. Reboot.

Thank you for the suggestion. BBM is a no go :-(

When i go into email settings it says I have two active emails but i when move to the next screen it shows "no accounts activated" and asks me to enter BES info (which I don't have). No option to enter BIS info.

Could it be that I'm over seas and not connected to BIS server? It was working before update. Any way to correct this?

    Thanks again

Try going to your carriers BIS website and see if you can play with the email settings: Sprint BIS

How is BBM a no go?

Try www.blackberry.com/integrate from your device browser.

Signal issue problems. Did the OTA update a few days ago. Experiencing a lot of signal issues, going into "Roaming" several times a day.

Open phone and dial *228. Option 2. That is how it is for Verizon. I think Sprint is the same.

    Just calls customer service.

Anyway, other than signal issues, I also noticed the texts take longer to send. Very strange.

I tried this and looked like it was working. Gave me a message that it was successful but when i send/receive emails and they never come thru to my device.

Do you think that my device doesnt communicate with the Sprint Server (cause i'm overseas with a local sim) would cause this?

Can you weigh in with your experiences trying the mobile hotspot? Anyone else?

Also, another biggie for me is whether these bugs are gone:
    Two Media Player Bugs

How are everyone's experiences with these bugs on OS .580? Please clarify whether you experienced bug 1, 2, or 3 in the past if this OS is an improvement. Thanks!

I did not try out Mobile Hotspot last night... hopefully tonight.

It seems that the media bugs are still there.

Thanks. What are your impressions so far compared to .342? Any noticeable improvement of any sort? I'm on .342.

It seems better than .342. I can’t truthfully give my impressions on battery life because I’m using a new battery. But it seems to be the same for me. But I have always had good battery life depending on my usage.

I have to always reactive Device Analyzer after every reboot so far.

I have had no change in memory in the past 4 hours. That is a really good step forward.

Upgraded yesterday. I didn't bother with the OTA (too nerve wracking for me ) so waited for DM update. BIG difference from the prior release. Media player is no longer an issue and I haven't seen the dreaded hourglass once. Battery life is much improved. Memory leaks appear to have disappeared. Response times appear much faster too. Love the resource monitor.
So far, rock solid release. I'll be upgrading my friend's Verizon 9930 next.

I wasn't getting texts at all unless I initialized/receive a call. I just called Sprint and was informed that they're having a nationwide text issue on all phones (related to the network upgrade). ...it's just a coincidince that it's at the time of this update. Supposedly the open ticket says that it should be resolved by July 31st.

I haven't had any signal issues with this build, so it must in fact be true that it is a Sprint network issue.

Have any of you noticed that there are no options under Application Resource Monitor? Or is it just me?

Or are there no options unless it shuts down an application?

The only options I have are to turn on appication resource monitor and to automatically shutdown background draining apps.

I've noticed that device analyzer disappears when I reboot. I have to go to options and do ALT + BBDA to get it back. Has anyone else noticed this.
