Search for a 2nd hidden vendor file.

Tried this, as is not a good radio on Vodafone NZ's 900/2100 3G.

Rolled back to 318 trusted radio full swap with 391 and am a happy camper.

Waiting on official 4xx build, but this will do.

I have my IT Policy at "disabled" status!

U no need to re-install the OS just want to add East Asian input language. U can install whatever OS has East Asian input on your computer. Then add it to your current OS using AppLoader. Good luck!

I actually gave Rogers credit and thought they would release 7.1 back in March. They have once again proved me wrong.

Rogers ALWAYS wants to be first to get the new phones out, but are next to last when it comes to support/software

I was in a similar situation when i was trying to load .391 yesterday. I was on .402 and wanted to downgrade to .391. I deleted the vendor.xml in apploader and i found no other vendor.xml file in the users folder, but neither Desktop Software and Apploader recognizes my OS. so i used vendelete+ to look for the other vendor.xml file and delete it just in case, but to no avail

BBSAK sees the new OS so I used BBSAK to load .391 instead. So far so good. Beweather does not work off the bat. Needs a battery pull to resume normal operations.

391 seems to have some small lag with using touch screen from time to time for me, don't know why is there anyway to fix this? I changed the double tap sensitivity from 400 to 100 to try it and it still persists only sometimes when I unlock my phone.

I have just spent the first half of a day with this OS. Will try to report on battery life in a few days.

Overall I cannot say that I have any reason to persuade someone not to upgrade to this OS...that's really the best way to put it. I can confirm that the WiFi Hotspot DOES NOT work on this release unless you have a it in your plan.

I am happy to say I've noticed an improvement in radio performance (got an extra bar of wifi at my desk), and I suspect that the icons have been shown a little love and have been slightly visually enhanced. I have been using 7.1.0.284 for awhile, so I can't verify whether this was done within this release or not.

I had quite a few apps on my phone (maybe 15-20), and I upgraded without doing a clean install; .284 was just getting laggy, time for something new, etc. When I restored all of my apps, whatever was making it laggy came along with the restoration. After a clean install, I can however confirm this OS is quite snappy...but aren't they all at first?

Terrible for me. Battery terrible, laggy, app crashes, bad radio compared to newer build. I'm going back to 318 docomo. It's still the best for me overall.

Here is hoping for a 4xx official build without the IT policy thingy enabled by default, and not able to be removed regardless

Just drop the 318 radio file in the UMTS folder. If you don't have it here it is.

Alright guys, I have an issue trying to upgrade to this OS. I am by no means a noob and install OSes all the time.

So I install the OS like normal, wipe with BBSAK, shrink with BB Boss, search/delete for vendor files and finally install. Phone installs with no hiccups, restore the phone with a back up I made before. Phone boots up and when I go to activate my email, it asks me for Enterprise Server activation. I don't use BES so I don't know why I get this. Then a little bit after I get a App Reset 602 Error. Phone reboots and same thing happens. So I wipe it all over and install and did this like 3 times and keep getting this same error.

I'm not sure whats causing this or how to fix it. I dled Vendelete and everytime I run it, it says no vendor files present. I'm not sure if I'm using that right but anyways, anyone know a resolution?

    Thanks for hearing me out

Just because it doesn't work for you, it doesn't make it a pos for everyone.

How you do that? Did you mean just to pick the cods file lets say ALL bb_vietnamese.cod and add the shared folder?

    or you mean?

Just install the let's say 402 multi language to ur fone, uninstall 402 from your PC. Install let's say Orange UK ALl lang to ur PC and update using Loader.exe? If so then the core files and all the required ones would needed to be reinstalled.

Never said it is PoS for everyone, just PoS for me=)
Anyone can suggest logical explanation why signal strength can vary between users? Don't these OSes should work flawlessly on all telcos?

The network has as much or more to do with it than the phone and the network depends on many things including geography, population density, buildings, antenna distance / height and frequency. What's strange is why .318 seems to be the only OS that works for you.
