I update when the 7.1.0.xxx changes by the 100's. So this way, a major change is applied only.

Yes it's supposed to detect any OS that match to the phone specs., but in this case the phone still can't detect the OS. Idk why, it might be related to the Platform, when we wipe a phone there is still a Platform left in the phone.

That platform probably or very likely being a teeny-tiny linux or unix subsystem that loads the JVM via some initrd file, which cannot be removed, because that's the bootloader. If only we could gain access to it..

yes we could'nt gain access to it. We can remove it if we use BBMCP to wipe the phone (the phone will be totally blacked out, no display of 507 error), last time I did not use it, I took the safest way since the phones belongs to my friends and they were still brand new...

You can. Just download the device software, install it, use Everything Portable (found on c|net download.com) to find both vendor.xml files and remove them, then load 'er up.

FYI, You can use the app loader main file in the installed folder (loader.exe) to install as well.

Either use another computer or a virtual machine. Free solutions like Virtualbox or other systems such as VMware.

Their download link leads to .342 for the 9810, not the 9900

It may have been posted earlier but AT&T mobile Hotspot users need to know that it worked fine on 7.1.267, but no longer works on .342 !! Don't upgrade unless you can lose that functionality.
Life is too short to spend time messing with Windows Computers, and any phone but a Blackberry.
