I've loaded this about an hour ago and so far so good. Before, my signal would just bounce all over the place and with this build I don't see that. Everything is running smooth and my browser is much faster. Wish I could comment on battery but we all know how that goes.
went to install this and it practically said I was "downgrading" most of the things from the current version i have installed which is .340. Some of things it did say upgrade on is the browser and setup I believe.
This is much better than that piece of junk leak 340. I just have to go back and remove some of the crap they force on the device: Help, VVM, and Caller Name ID.

I agree that 340 was horrible. I have this 342 loaded up and so far so good
Is anyone here using OSBB/69goats .342 hyrbid over .340 then upgraded to this? How is the difference? 69goats hybrid was super in terms of battery life, and I'm still satisfied with it. I just want to get feedback on this before jumping over the fence.

Check the hybrids section. This thread is for the 342 OS.

I don't know what my deal is, I've nuked my device twice in the past two weeks when loading an OS. I feel like I'm losing my touch! I figured out why though, don't use a "program" to locate and delete the vendor file(s).
Too early to notice any difference yet.
pcgizmo... Nice to see you around again. I take it that CrackBerry Anonymous didn't work out for you?
Yes I can see that. I dont know if you understood what I was trying to ask but I believe my question is still relevant to the thread, I'm only inquiring if someone who, before upgrading to this official release, was running the hybrid .342 by OSBB, and asking about their thoughts on the difference in performance, since the hybrid used the same .342 cods over the earlier .340 official release for the 9930.
Jeez.

Reason: update
lol...I wasn't attending CBA meetings, I just needed a break from all of the nonsense here. So I'm here for the day just to read up on 342.
Sorry to hear you keep nuking your Bold, 342 went off without a hitch last night for me.
edit: Thanks Rich for stickying this.
Yeah, youre not missing much.
As for the nuking, well, it was pretty much my fault. At least I figured out why. I couldnt get it going the first time around, so VZW sent me a replacement, but then I got it running. The replacement is running just the same as previous except for a very minor auto scroll issue in dark lighting.

Just curious, why do you think that it was a vendor delete program that contributed to your "nuking" and which one was it ?
