Can somebody pls help me and tell me whether or not I did something wrong. I installed the official .523 thailand and after installation, when ever I do a battery pull I get an error message -"uncaught exception. Java error". I really don't know what that means.

just finish updating to 580-523v zocster. but having some problems with FB 3.2.0.5, i can't log in, there's error with keycode or something. so i'm using fb 3.1.0.17.

other than that, all working perfectly. got free memory around 240MB (using modified .alx). can't tell u more than that. wait 3-7 days for the os to adjust with the HH.

Could be an issue with an app or even the theme that you're using. Try switching to the default theme 1st and do a batt pull. If still there, then it might be one of your 3rd party apps.

Facebook 3.2.0.5 is a Beta Zone version... you need an account and keycode to use it.

Zocster usually includes the latest Beta Zone Twitter and App World versions in his builds too.

ah, that's answer my question. the app world is official, but i don't use twit for bb, i'm using ubersoc instead (fits me).

What you want to do is:
1. Install alllang from thailand
2. Shrink what's not required
3. Copy paste the ones I have.
4. Install

Usually what happens is that Russian is not installed right away, but has to be installed via DM after the new OS. The thing is, when I load up DM now, with your hybrid already installed, nothing comes up at all. Only the apps that I downloaded after the install. For example, I have Facebook which I got from AppWorld, but Youtube isn't there, and can't be installed since there is no list. Am I doing something wrong or is that how it should be?

You have to understand that Zocster deletes what he doesn't need and rightly so. Therefore download OS 7.1.0.523 then zip Zocster's hybrid Java, UMTS and .alx over the existing files then you keep the original apps, languages, etc...BTW my phone has never ever worked better since I installed his Hybrid v.7.1.0.569 and battery life is now close to 10 hours. A massive improvement to 6 hours before.

.580Hybrid working perfectly! Thanks a million Zocster. A word of advice for newbies - always better to wipe device and re-install hybrid and your apps afresh. Saves you from the "java lang......error" popup.

Waiting to download Zocster's latest Hybrid v.7.1.0.580! But waiting for some feedback first (especially from the man himself

) so guys, keep posting your experience with it. For now, I am very happy with the v.7.1.0.569 hybrid.

Do any of these hybrids resolve the 9900 ATT mic issue that .523 has?

I'm going to do the 391 (the only version i hear w/o the mic issue) with the 318 antenna file.

It won't if you're running a AT&T hardware on AT&T network.

If you're not sure how to load Zocsters version maybe keep it simple and use the newly released .569.exe instead.

I downloaded the .523, installed, remove vendor files, then replace the files with the hybrid mix and then try to update, but it aalways say there is nth to update and my device version still stays the same.

23-07 08.30 battery 40%
24-07 08.11 battery 9%

This is 72 hours of wifi on (100% of the time), push mail (100% of the time)
whatsapp a couple of reboots, playing around with apps, chatting and max
2 hours of call... this is my daily driver now.. I will not change firmware
anymore for this is what I need

What hybrid are you on or what OS version 7.1 are you on? That seems incredible 3 days without a charge on the 9900?

Try dropping the wifi to 10% of the time and use your carrier's network 90% of the time and see how that goes.
