Why does this matter so much to some. Just curious. I've had unlimited calling plans for years and this doesn't seem to be such a big deal to me.
I use it when I travel, I can't do without it. You can be anywhere in the world and as long as there is a wi-fi connection you get free calls to the USA. If T-Mobile doesn't get UMA I will have to go back to Android.
From what i have read and heard on these forums is that its down to the carriers to enable it and they might do but no guarantee on that...the hardware is there, it was on previous OS builds ie wifi hotspot.
at the moment i also have issues with service in my house. a $500 solution is a steep cost to fix it. im still confused as to whether or not it is a hardware or software feature that can be changed. if tmo is going to bring it in 2012 is it going to be a different device than the one i receive on wed
