After an iphone 2g, 3g, palm pre plus, pixi, storm 9530, droid 2 (abysmal phone) palm pre 2 and an htc trophy, I'm back on the blackberry.

I'm really enjoying this phone, and i love the keyboard, but i have two functionality questions that i cant seem to figure out.

    1. In the browser, is there a quick shortcut to insert ".com" so I don't have to type it out every time?

    2. is there a way to "sticky" the alt key so that I can enter a string of numbers one handed?

I'm fairly certain there's a way to do all this, I'm just a bit rusty.

    thanks!

1.) No - probably because sites end in all sorts these days

2.) Hold Alt and left shift to lock numbers and hold down Alt and right shift to lock CAPITALS - press shift again to unlock

If you type in a URL with spaces like this www crackberry com it will insert the .'s for you, hope that helps.

thanks everyone! I didn't realize how much I missed how deeply customizable the bb experience can be. It's good to be back.
