Well I finely did it, last night I purchased a Bold 9930. I will receive it on Tuesday. Should be a nice upgrade from my Curve 8530 and a nice addition to my Playbook. I think it was a smart choice over the new Curve 9370. I still think that the 9370 is a great looking phone and was the same size of my 8530 just looked a lot better in the new housing. I'll probably miss the small size when carrying it around. But I think I'm going to like the size of the larger keyboard and screen on the Bold better. Either way I probably couldn't have gone wrong, they're both BB's.
Having owned a curve, I can tell you you're gonna love the 9930. So solid and OS 7.1 has been awesome for me. And using it with your Playbook - ohhh yeah! Enjoy!

I just changed from the bold 9810 to the 9900. Best move ever. Lack of a full size keyboard was really pissing me off, and tbh, the only thing I really miss is my autofocus!
Well i received the 9930 last night. Sweet Phone! What a difference from the 8530. Why does it feel like i've never owned a BB before? Alot of things are the same but alot of things are different, If that makes any sence? I guess others would understand doing the same upgrade? Anyway great phone and glad i finally made the change.
Just spend a little time with it rustong. Everything that you liked about your old bb is still there. It may require a little different approach but you will get the hang of it. The real beauty is the great touch screen. Once you have fully incorporated it into your habits you will wonder how you could have gotten along without it. Congrats, you won't regret your choice.
And Gavenlow, press and hold your bb/menu button and check how many apps you have running in the background. If you have closed them out properly there should only be 5-6 running. The ones that do not close using the return key must be closed using the menu/close-shut down method. My 9930 never drops more than 4-5 mb no matter how hard I spank it.
Running Os 7.1.0.163 Vzw.
