Just got my Bold 9930 today, also switched from an iPhone 4S.

Just had a weird issue, took the phone off the charger (100%), 15 minutes later, battery reading 70%... uhhhhhhhhh, wtf!?

Try to "train" your battery. What you do is wait untill its completely dead and turns off by itself.take the battery out and put it back in to make sure that its completely dead.

Next charge your phone completely, unlplug, then battery pull. It should be at about 80%. Charge your phone untill 100% again then another battery pull... should take about 8 hours total.

I would update the OS to the latest leaked one because the battery management came a long way since the original release.

    Welcome back OP.

I don't think there is an OS version 7.1.457 yet. May be you are reading the app version?

Anyway, all the best to you.

I have an iPhone 4S but today I bought a 9930 love it. It will become my main phone. I also bought it on Verizon, getting tired of AT&T.

Former Droid user here too......I will never give up the physical keyboard. I think (minus the random bricking) RIM has something here. Make the screen a little better increase the specs slightly (4g on Verizon) and I'd be a Very happy blackberrer

    It reads:
If you go to Options --> About, you will see a version number goes something like 7.1.0.163.

If you are not on BES and you are up for a bit of adventure, I recommend updating the OS to the latest leaked OS. It has less bugs and responsiveness is very good.

How do you go about updating to leaked versions? I came from the world of Android and rooting. I don't want to get in to rooting on this, but if I can update without doing that then I'm all for it. Thansk!
