Which network setting gives you the best battery life?

With being connected to wifi, no doubt you will have the best battery life.
My question is with network setting (with wifi off) gives you the best battery life, what are your discharge rates? Well, only 2G (EDGE) option will give you the best drain rate. What are observations on differences between only 3G and 2G&3G.

2G/3G setting is a battery killer.

Far better using 3G only even with a weak signal.

2G/3G almost doubles discharge rate for me.

I travel a lot for work on a daily basis and have experimented with the settings. 3G only wins hands down.

Insalled .402 yesterday. Did a battery pull before I went to bed and woke up this morning with an idle discharge rate of 0.5%.

My usual discharge rate in use is 2-3%. Mainly calls and e.mail, no social feeds crap, strictly business.
