I downloaded from my carrier the 7.1 software, it downloaded fine, installed but at no point did it tell me to reconnect my phone to load the software, when the installation was finished and i connected to the desktop manager and checked for an update it said there was none and only listed my previous and current one. I have done this before but not for a while and i can't think what i did differently this time. I tried reinstalling it but it keeps just prompting me to repair or remove the installation. Can anyone help me?

If your carrier had an OS update it would show up on the Desktop manager software. No need for downloading.

There's 2 vendor.xml files that need to be deleted

    Use this tool http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...-files-709738/

The OP said they downloaded their carrier's software so there should be no need to delete vendor files correct?

This is from the carrier it is just that after downloading and installing it is listed on the right hand side when you click the question mark under support resources, installed blackberry device software, but you can't seem to update from there, where it should be listed to update it is not.
