Enjoy the iPhone. I always say never say never. So, if BB comes out with something different don't limit your options. That doesn't mean I'm saying you should come back, just don't limit yourself.

Care to expound a bit more on why you would never use a BlackBerry again, especially after a good experience with your 9900? Just wondering why.

one man leaves, another joins.... i actualy just bought one to play with and give my dad. after using my q10, i kind of found it a steeper learning curve than my q10. of course i never used a blackberry untill buying my q10 and then the 9900

when i setup the 9900, i was kind of disappointed that for it to work fully that it needs bis. fortunately i found a way to use my regular data plan to use the browser and was able to download other apps without having to use wifi and also got the t-mobile wifi hotspot working without paying extra. the only catch was i had to do some agent spoofing otherwise i get the upsell page for tethering. had to down grade to os 7.1.0.74, i could not find the .74 hotspot cod and so that is why i downgraded.

. now only to get email working without bis. if i cant get it to work i will just have to log in to yahoo to access my email.

since i got what i needed working, i like the phone; otherwise i probobly regret it.

I went this same route with the iphone 4, then Z10. I just bought a 9900 and I am very happy. The 9900 is perfect for me. Iphone keyboard is just awful. Z10 was top big and the keyboard was no where near as good as the 9000/ 9900 series. Finally, I hate the hub. Give me Os 7, a physical keyboard, and separate icons and I am very happy! My point... never say never.

I never thought I would be cautious of giving up a touchscreen phone. I have used blackberries since '05. Thought I was a keyboard guy only through and through. Got the Z10 because it was released first to play with until the Q10 was released. I have started to sell my Z10 twice with interested buyers and have backed out because I felt I would miss this experience though I would have a keyboard. Anyways I think your limiting yourself saying you won't be back. Enjoy your new phone.

I know the feeling. Next month I'm also getting a iPhone after 2 years with a 9900 (also my first and last BB ever).

The camera was such a let down, the app selection on os7.1 was just dreadful knockoff's of ios/android ones and the rebooting after installing/removing apps reminded me of Windows 98.

The only thing I will miss about it was the typing experience, but my o button stopped working about a month ago and it's just a reminder the more moving parts the more that can go wrong.

I would say he's saved himself a lot of trouble - the q10 isn't the successor to the 9900 that people hoped for - this from personal experience. Perhaps the 9900 is the last of the best of blackberry even, only time will tell. All I know is having owned a q10, I have returned to using my bold 9900.

I would also wish him good luck with his iphone, its a solid phone which I'm sure he won't regret choosing. And I remind him he's still got a fantastic backup phone in his drawer should he need it!
