Like I said in the review I have yet to even see something in real life that takes advantage nfc.

I know rim made the gateway and that would be the only thing now I could see myself using nfc with. If I had the extended battery on I would just turn on BT instead of tapping. Not much harder.

If you use nfc then it may not be for you but I know about 60 people with 9900/9930's and they all don't even know what nfc does and most didn't know their phone had it.

Default 9700 OEM battery in 9900?

I am replacing my 9700 (ATT) with the 9900 (ATT). I had bought a 2nd OEM battery for my 9700.. can I use these in the 9900, cause I heard the 9900 is has less mAH.

    thanks

They are not compatible with the 9900.

I'm a moderate to sometimes heavy user, my blackberry experiences streaming, recording VGA and HD video in extended length (beyond 15 minutes sometimes) due to blogging habits. I too, use an extended battery and the stock one, I swap between both and I have an external charger that I originally bought for the 9700 that works ever so well for any blackberry's battery. I even used it to charge someone's Curve battery that wasn't showing any signs of life. So that's what I'll use to charge the seidio when I buy it next year, or sooner.

My current generic extended battery that requires to be decoded each time (no biggie), is swollen and has snapped the tabs off of the extended cover that came with it. I went through three covers already!

Hopefully someone will actually have a metal battery cover for the 9900, exclusively for extended batteries only. Plastic is fine for the stock battery. The extended one HAS to be able to stand up to a few years or more, of use without breaking. I understand why they snap off, plastic doesn't last forever. Hmm, maybe I'm elaborating a bit too much. But does the 9900 extended battery cover for the seidio have a few mm's so to allow the battery, or any battery, if it starts to swell as a defect of age, so it won't get pushed off by the expansion?

That's my only gripe. Otherwise, I'm going to be getting it soon.

Personally I have never see an extended battery from seidio expand to the point of breaking the battery back. There is a little space but not enough to measure.

I've owned seidio extended batteries for treo755p,treo800w,blackberry 8330, blackberry 9650 and now the 9900. Never had an issue with that issue.

I guess I should checked my post for a missing word, it now says generic extended battery, I don't have a seidio yet and I'm looking forward to getting one.

Yeah I took it off for the weekend and man ill take the hump over the battery life any day.

I was so paranoid about my battery life all weekend it was insane! Always nervous calls would take too long and I'd have a dead battery by the time I went home.

    Hi there,

    Thank for the tip,

I purchased and recieved the Seidio 3000 Mah battery for my 9900. Otterbox 4 and 3,000 Battery works a treat.

I now have 1400ah Momax X batteries for regular use, to and from work and weekeneds and 3,000 for external traveling and or special events.

Just came back from 3 days business in Iraq and boy did it feel good to have the 3,000ah battery in the 9900, I did not see a power point for hundreds of miles.

The problem with switching 2 batteries is that you lose 5=10% when you start up and before you know it your down to 85%

    Thank you Seidio/Momax

Default Sirius XM on 9900/9930... again...

I know this has been posted over and over but after reading wxmancanada's posts about the app:

    My original email:
Hi, I have been really hoping siriusxm would release an app for the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 and I just wanted to check with you and see if this would ever happen?
If there is a fee to pay for a developer/beta version of the app, I would be interested in this option also.
Please let me know, I really miss this app after upgrading from a 9700.
    Thanks!

Anyone been able to get the app working on their 9900/9930? If so, I beg you to please share your resolution.
I have tried all the versions on the site, several times over the past few months and have gotten no where. wxmancanada gave me hope that this can work, but I understand sometimes some info can't be shared.
Would be awesome to get this working on the 9900.

General cs agents have no clue what is being tested if it is in fact being tested. They are only briefed on what's out now and not what's to come.

    Hi there,

Please be aware that if you purchase this item from Seidio for delivery to UK, that you will also receive FedEx invoice for HMRC, in this case £19.00 GBP.

Just ordered a new case to match, and will now have to pay the tax on this, no wonder the Chinese are crying all they way to the bank!

Unfortunately, that's what it is... Right now at least. When more information becomes available, trust me, CrackBerry will be the first to know.

If you want to drop me a PIN, I believe a beta team is being assembled in the coming weeks.
