Hello all,
Just got a bold 9900 for tmobile, and when i press the send button to make a call, the top where it says "my number" says Unknown number. Anyone know how to fix this?

Go to Options> Device> Advance System Settings> SIM Card.. scroll to bottom and hit option button and you will see an option to change your SIM number

Scroll to the bottom and you will get it.. What phone are you on and with what carrier?

did you hit the blackberry logo key?
i think the 2nd option said "edit sim key"
just delete the unknown number and enter anything you want

Does it have to be your actual phone number or can you use this method to spoof?

You can't edit the SIM phone number, only the "friendly name". Editing the SIM phone number would change your actual number and it's denied in editing, at least with my Bell SIM.

You can... but it only changes the 'My Number' shown on your call screen, not the phone number itself.

opps ... I had this problem too after my SIM was upgraded by the carrier.
