Hey Guys I have some verry strange issue with my fllash memmory....it increases to alomost 100 % and the unit is performing verry slow?
I have recently reinstalled new hybrid OS as usual and I find this verry strange.I am considering whats app for it,but not sure?
When i restart the phone my flash goes back to 58 % free and everything is just fine. What would be the problem?

OS version is 7.1 bundle 2247(v.7.1.0.807 platform 5.1.0.532)

I am running the 5th usual apps and what's app last version. I have checked for silent running apps with PB task manager ,but nothing suspicious for me.
After reset everything is just fine....strange...

Whatsapp the only app? Also you might want to flash to the latest build of 7.1.0.825

Which is why i said try flashing the latest build of 7.1 sometimes certain builds are bad at memory management. what about other apps? A while back i had a problem with whatsapp but that was over two years ago and on a 8520.

Yes you told me,but the flash mem is now 70 % and increases slowly....you can guess what would happen after 2 days If I won't restart the unit.
I accused what's app for this issue...it seems to be the most used app by me so far....

then it most certainly is a app that is causing it you havent told me all the apps on the phone, is whatsapp the only one?

I am on the latest OS, i HAVE shrunken it but my RAM usage isnt erratic like yours

I have whatsapp Viber, Flash Light, Tunein, shazam, screen grabber and evernote and I dont have any leaks.

if you are on the latest OS, then its an application prob, *might* be hardware(very rare). I hope someone else reading this thread can help you.

have you taken it to a service center?

I have the same slow but frightening leak on my Bold 9900 running 7.1.0.825.

And the apps I have are: WhatsApp, Dropbox, Rock File Manager, LinkedIn, Shazam. All the rest are native BB apps.

Of course 3rd party apps do not help to reduce the memory leak, however the worst case memory leak in my case is observed with the browser.
I am also on .825, but happens with every OS I use.
One of the attached screens show the memory state after restart, 7am. The other at quarter to 10pm.

Now either you keep restarting every now and then.

Or figure out which app is causing the problem.

I have a consistent 35% free memory thats what the device analyzer says.

For some reason i feel its the file manager's fault but you will have to figure it out, by deleting apps and checking.

Remove the apps that you dont use.

    Options>Device> Advanced System Settings

Hold down ALT and type BBDA

Exit Advance System Settings and then re enter it and Device Analyser will be in there for you.

i use "memory booster" off app world when my phone gets slow, much easier than doing a full reset, just push the button and clears a bunch of space. If i were you i would ditch fake call. Even on IOS and Droid platforms i've noticed those kinds of apps cause all kinds of internal conflicts and also eat up RAM like its starving. JMO.
