Default My Bold just sits at a screen unresponsive

Just got off the phone with a friend about 15 minutes ago, and the phone just kind of 'froze'. I can't send a BBM message, and when I hold down the menu button, nothing happens. It was working just fine, up until 15 minutes ago.....anyone give me any ideas as to how I can get this device working again? Have done about 4 battery pulls to no avail. Getting a tad bit frustrated.

Load up desktop manager. Plug in the phone and back up. Then wipe and reload the OS (and restore). There are instructions on here.

EDIT: First try restarting the phone without the media card inserted.

Try firmly re-seating the media card. Could have simply been loose. Also it could have corruption. If you go under device options > storage... select the media card and then the BlackBerry key -- there is a "Repair" option.

Sure re-insert it and see what happens since you can always take it out.

No problem; glad to help. If you ever drop the phone hard, it might be a good idea to pop off the cover and push in on the media card. It can works its way out over time.
