Default moving from 9790 to 9900

    hi
im thinking on moving from 9790 to 9900, but im afraid because of what i read about 9900 battery life.
is there any difference in terms of battery life between this two devices?
as 9900 battery life improved with the new 7.1 os versions?

    thanks

The 9700 was one of the best modern day Blackberry's for battery life. The 9900 will be a challenge for you to maintain if battery life is a concern. Depending on use, and settings though, I always got home at the end of the day with some battery left.

When I used my 9930 as my daily driver, I had a spare battery. It was wonderful. I unplugged at 6am, by 4 pm the battery life would be in the teens. (I would text like crazy on that thing). so it was nice to pop in the spare and not be tied down to a charger.

If you update to the latest 825 OS, you shouldn't have any problems. I upgraded from the 9790 to the 9900 and to be perfectly honest, I didn't see any great difference in battery life between the two devices. Since then though, 7.1 was released and I get through the day with moderate use with about 40% left before shuteye. Go for it, or wait and get a Z10.
Do as you would be done by and 12 pence to the shilling (or 100 cents to the dollar).

I own both the 9900 and the 9790. There isn't very much difference in battery life at all! Not sure how comfortable you are messing with software on your device but you could always try a nice hybrid build from the forums. And like the previous posts said, pick up a second battery. I have two batteries (one from each device) and its rare that I have to use the second one, but it's really nice to have the peace of mind that I have a backup battery in my wallet. For what its worth. I haven't used my 9790 in six months since picking up a replacement for my original 9900. It is an awesome phone.
The bold are helpless without cleverness.
