Default Memory card issue on bb 9900

I started facing this unusual problem with my blackberry 9900 just recently. Im using 8gb memory card (lexar) which works good with my device, But when i do a battery pull, after the device restarts.. my memory card is not detected. I dont see any pics, its like memory card isnt present at all.

But when i do a battery pull, and take out the memory card frm the slot and reinsert it back again and when the device starts it shows all the pictures in it. I assume i have like more than 1000+ pictures, bbm dp's.

the memory card isnt full also, out of 8gb, i have like 5.7 gb free. Im using blackberry bold 9900 version 7.1.342 and my device is locked to my carrier

Is it anything higher than a 'Class 6'? I have the same issue with a Class 10 32GB. There seems to be a bug where the 9900 doesn't detect the card, and only a reboot fixes that issue.

After I reboot it takes forever for my bold to start reading the card. I have a 32gb card that is nowhere near full. After your next reboot just wait about 5 min or so and see if it starts reading the card. I don't know why it does this and it only started doing it after I switched from an 8gb to the 32bg card. I am still running OS7. I posted a thread about this awhile back.

My 9900 has the same problem to detect my 32GB Class 10 card occasionally. Battery pull(s) always fix it, though.
    I guess it's a hardware failure.
    Poor RIM.

I have a 32gb card in my 9930. On a restart it takes a while for everything to show up. I assume it takes a while to index all the files. Mine is pretty full.

The bigger the mem card the longer it takes after a reboot for the phone to read it
