That won't solve the issues with my media player. I don't ever have any radio or podcast apps running simultaneously in the background. Thanks for the suggestion though.

One other suggestion. The media player is in Java (well, the codec part is in the OS but that shouldn't matter) so if it's the application that is acting up, you should be able to just do a soft reset instead of a battery pull. That should save you a little time on rebooting.

If you have sound issues where things sound distorted or tinny etc, that is more likely to be a low level problem that may not be fixed by a soft reset and require a battery pull and cold boot.
