Default Little advice for a newbie, please

    I just bought a 9900 off eBay.
I'm an avid iPhone user who got a bit bored with iOS and wants a phone with a keyboard.
I know that BB OS7 isn't quite up to date and has its flaws, but while I'm waiting for BB 10 devices to be released over here, I already wanted something to mess around with.

So I'd like to know: what are some must-have apps, special firmwares etc to make the most of my Blackberry experience?

    Thx

crunchSMS, Lastpass, Google Maps, Evernote, and Dropbox are apps I use often. You can find all of those in App World or from their vendor sites. All but Lastpass are free. That's an important consideration if you are planning to move to a BB10 device, since the same code won't run on the BB10 and the manufacturer won't necessarily give a free upgrade, since the platform is different.

Upgrade to one of the latest operating systems. 825 or 861. If you search for Elite1's guide to upgrading you will have all the information as to how you go about upgrading.

Do as you would be done by and 12 pence to the shilling (or 100 cents to the dollar).

BeBuzz (changing LED notification light color), ExtraFonts, and Shazam are some of my favorites.
