    Default Liquid under screen

    Hi all,

My few months old 9930 was damaged today and I'm hoping someone has a suggestion on go to move forward. The phone was in its pouch and in a bag with spray on sunscreen. Unfortunately the spray emptied itself out and it's under the screen - there's a bubble and the screen is unusually dark. I purchased the phone from Amazon wireless and I'm on Sprint without an equipment protection plan. Any suggestions?

Very much appreciate any advice. Phone works well other than liqui under the screen.

You'll have to buy a replacement LCD/Digitzer and replace it yourself. (Easy task). But you'll need to open the phone up yourself first to look underneath your current LCD/Digitzer to figure out which version to buy off eBay as there's like 4.

Or, for the much more timid, like myself, you can take it to somewhere that repairs cell phones.
Here in San Diego, we've gone to A to Z Wireless to replace a trackpad on our off warranty curve 3g.

I had a broken screen replaced in an hour by a cell phone repair shop for 90.00.

I would have someone do it for you since the phone is contaminated with sunscreen. Even if you replaced the screen the sunscreen residue will need to be removed from all the internal parts. Maybe if you had an ESD strap and the proper solution you could do it on your own. I'm not sure what solution would be best for that. Also, if you mishandled the battery its easy to ruin the battery by shorting the wrong contacts.

I hope you get it fixed soon with the least amount of trouble.
