Led flaw?
When your led flashes, can you see it shine through the left side where the sensor is? I didn't notice it one the 1st one I had. But this one does it.
Edit for pic:

Re: Led flaw?
I've noticed that on my 9930, but not a big deal to me.. I'm not sure what that other opening is for.. but I know it is there for a purpose. When I am on a call I see the opening to the left next to the LED opening it blinks a dim red light constantly.

Re: Led flaw?
It doesn't get brighter per say. But that sensor turns the whole color of the led, like I have dual leds. That shot just happen to be perfect timing and angle to show what it's doing as the right half of the sensor is sorta squared off..
I've already filed a replacement with my carrier. Hopefully the next one is flawless. - 11-04-2012, 06:54 PM #15
Led flaw?
No, Your proximity sensor is not broken. It does one thing, measure the amount of light present and then assume what it needs to do based on whats currently running.
If you are on a call, and you cover it with your finger - it dims the screen.
If you are on the home screen, and you cover it with your screen - it either brightens your screen/turns on your keyboard or dims the screen.
Anyway, it is a very simple system and if it broke it wouldn't do any of those things.
It does not launch apps by its self.
