I gave the .598 a go for several days after running official .585 successfully(vodafone UK)for some time. I did noticed the battery drained much quicker on .598 than any other build i've tried to date. I'm now on an OS 7.1 build and all is working well again for me The .540/.585 builds work well if your looking for an OS 7.0 build.

Nope, it's a MultiLanguage version. If you need EastAsia version you can go with .585. Now if anyone noticed, I found out that .585 is somewhat officially issued by (mostly perhaps) Asia Pacific carriers. While .590 is EMEA region and .598 is South America region. Hmm...is this intentional?

.579 is official with most Asia Pacific carriers
.585 is official with all the EMEA carriers
.590 is official with one Middle East carrier
.598 is official with a couple of South American carriers

A slight pattern there, but probably just coincidence.

I can confirm that BlackBerry Device Analyzer is not a part of this build. It was however a part of 7.0.0.590. Weird that it would be taken out only after being put in. Maybe it wasn't supposed to be in 590 either? Who knows but hopefully this helps those trying this build out.

I have .590. How do you access the BB device analyzer? Is this the feature that is being talked about in 7.1 being able to analyze battery drain?

    Thanks.

Device Analyser is an OS7.1 feature, and is not part of any OS7 build by default.

You can add the feature to OS7 by either injecting the 7.1 cods, or by installing the app from rroyy.com

I saw it under Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > BlackBerry Device Analyzer (last option in the list).

This was under the Partner Communications build of 7.0.0.590. Like Phil said it is a standard feature with OS 7.1 but somehow it made it's way to that specific build. As mentioned I'm testing out 7.0.0.598 and it isn't there anymore.

Unfortunately, I don't have this feature with my .590. This is with Partner Communications, alright, but it does not come with the device analyzer. The last option in the list is TCP IP.

I wonder what had changed considering only small increments of OS version.

Will injecting Device Analyzer to OS 7.0 create any problem? Bricking issue perhaps?

Hmmm that's odd. Must have been just for me then. Anyway if you'd like to have it just go to rroyy.com using your phone and navigate to the download link for it under applications. I've already done so on .598 and its working just fine.

The bricking issue is actually device or hardware related. Basically some 9900's have it and a lot of them don't. Chances are injecting the CODs or downloading the app using the JAD file won't cause the bricking issue. If yours were to brick it wouldn't be because of it.

Hey guys! does anyone know when the Official OS 7.1 be released? i've been waiting forever.

i have 7.0.0.585 on my 9900 which appears to be the latest official release. works fine i must say except for the fact that battery goes down to 92% in less than 5 minutes after recharge.

Why bother waiting for an official carrier release.?. just install the leaked 7.1.0.190

It's a very stable build, and will probably go official shortly anyway.
