It could be a setting within the router. My 9900 is connected on n and pulling and proper speeds. My router supports channel bonding. I am using WPA2 and AES for encryption. Or possibly a firmware update for the router. Hopefully that helps. My dlink was flaky would have slower speeds and I had intermittent disconnects from it.

Probably means he did a selective backup/restore and didn't include any previous App Permissions, Content Store, Searches, RMS databases etc... just let them recreate again from fresh.
I often do that after a new OS installation, especially if I've removed some old apps. It stops additional and unwanted data from getting transferred over.
    Thanks Phill for the explanation!

    hello all,

i installed .825 yesterday and I'm having a strange issue with my email through exchange. The senders name is being replaced by another contact name in my address book that has the same last name. I cannot reply to these emails because the address isn't valid. I sent an email to myself and it replaced my name (sender) with my uncle who has the same name.

    Any ideas?
i have the same problem on my 9790 running the latest official OS release!!!!!!!...and i cant solve the problem....

I'm on it pretty steady. I'd have to say moderate use.

Question about this build for anyone running it. Are you automatically exited from Bedside Mode when you leave the Clock Screen? Annoyance for me when using the charging dock on the bedside table as like to navigate to home screen to verify lightning bolt to ensure charging. Thanks.

Regards battery life, I'm getting reasonable drain rate, BBDA is showing 8.5% over the week, but I get some very strange behaviour where my battery will plummet from 40, 50 or even 60% to "radio off" almost instantly. The highest BBDA discharge I've found is 143% per hour! That's nothing compared to the claimed charge rate of 950.49% per hour!
Is anyone else having issues? Is it a bad install? A bad battery? The phone is just over a year old and just out of warranty
I'll try and get the screen grabs up when I'm on my computer

As your phone is over a year old, it may be time to replace the battery. My phone is also over a year old and my battery was acting the same way as yours. I had replaced it several weeks ago and my phone with its new battery, can cruise to 24 hours before needing another charge....

Well another slight update. I gave it a full overnight charge, and it seemed a lot better today, I wonder if it had got a bit out of calibration or had some weird charge memory thing going on. Got about 9 hours of VERY heavy use out of it. Probably 5 hours actively using it. Much better

And just as a follow up I re-tested this version and had the same problem. My phone is no longer a phone. The icon is gone, won't receive or make a call.

Now I have to waste another 2 hrs of my life downgrading the phone and making it talk to my BESx server at work again...

    NOT HAPPY>!

Oh and I can't factory reset the phone as that will involve more messing about with the BES, so this software build for me at least is BAD and leaves my phone not being a phone. I Can;t waste anymore time messing about with it I need a working phone that's a phone not just an object which lets me do email...

Back to the old build of software & my phone works as a phone.... There is deffo *A* problem somewhere here...

Sorry to hear you are having problems. For me, the load installed and activated with the BES completely without incident.

Actually - after both the failed upgrade and the successful downgrade BES behaved its self and I didn't need to fight the server to get the phone back on that.

I'm still left with the problem that .825 on my device = no working phone. I have just seen .861 in another post. I may try that over the weekend if I have some time & the will to mess about for a couple of hrs.

Battery drain is always high for the first couple of days after install regardless of version. - do a couple of battery pulls. (First time installing new OS?)
I found this version settled fast and discharge was better than previous versions.

With this version I can't enter numbers with a + anymore. It doesn't work for phone calls and text messages. The suggestion then shows only "Phone: OSS" (for +44) and doesn't recognize that this is a number. i have to type 0044 but this is a problem as this is countryspecific while +44 works in every network. has this been fixed in a newer version?
