That statement only tells me that he accomplished the vendor.xml deletion, not the OS install.
edit: Actually to be more specific, that he enabled the hidden files/folders to get to the vendor.xml files.
now you wont....but you will loose your apps if you dont backup them(bbsak)
you are wrong, of you've never backed up you phone. on desktop manager says "back up device" not "back up memory card" so if somebody backs up device, he looses nothing when he restores, except apps that should be backed up with bbsak or any other program
I have installed os thanksfor help!!!!!
You are very welcome :)
Try and download it from a different computer and load it from a different computer cos some malware you dnt know about is busy corrupting the file it has happened to me before and I had to download again and again for more than 15times
The situation has already been rectified with this member as posted.
Lendo78 provided great assistance and followed through with a confirmation. Great Job! :)
Why/how did it take you 15 instances before you thought to run an anti-virus program and remove any malware from your PC?
I am starting to believe BlackBerry Torcher was correct...

12 hrs 35 mins and I'm at 74% with 116.92 MB Memory Free. I'd say that .825 is a success :D
i installed this OS thru DM and i have SCM (shortcutme app) and after activating this app i came across there are few items missing in home screen set up like bluetooth toogle, new address book, profiles selector etc etc. I uninstalled and installed again but no luck. I already contacted support team but did not get any response. As i had this app working good but after installing 7.1.0.825 this app is not working properly. anybody facing this problem thanks in advance
14 hrs 53 mins and I'm at 68% with 116.68 MB Memory Free. Still Winnind :D
You're getting me very excited to install .825 tomorrow.
LOL. 15 hrs 44 mins - 67% - 116.57 MB
So, as you can see still a little memory leak.
you must be using old versin of Desktop Manger... try installing new version of Desktop manager and then os installer file..... clearn install is always better....
No. I don't have an update stating there is a new one.
Bummer. They got away with the "W" key shortcut in the browser that allowed you to bring up the tabs. Booo... Downgrade! Lol. ;)
No they haven't as far as I can see. The "W" shortcut to bring up open tabs is still working here.
I like that shortcut as well. :)
Have you tried a battery pull or two?
Got to be the best OS release so far. Only been running it for 4 days now but battery life is amazing, hardly any memory leak at all and the signal strength is far superior to any other release. On the downside, still no improvement with WIFI signal strength.
how does it work on ATT bold 9900?
If it quacks like a duck......
did you wipe before making the installation? do you use BeWeather, BeBuzz or Hookt Messenger at all? I am averaging 50MB memory leak per day with this OS, and with any OS for that matter....but I never did a wipe before any installation; And i also use those 3 apps that i mentioned regularly. It is not that I am overly concerned about the leak since i can do a reset or a battery pull after a couple of days or so, but i just want to pinpoint the cause of the leak.
No, I will not ever use "Be" apps. They are more trouble than they are worth. I have never wiped before an install because the install wipes anyway.

i will try to uninstall BeWeather first and see what happens....
I use BerryWeather and BeBuzz and have never had any memory issues with them... must be Hookt Messenger then ;)
I also use BerryWeather and have zero memory issues with it. In fact, I have no memory leaks at all...I never really have had them on any OS.
