Hi guys

Recently got a damaged 9900 from a friend. Trying to revive it. It boots up fine... only issue is the keypad/trackpad does not respond right away, sometimes i have to wait a few hours before it functions normally.... i can scroll using the screen touch but i cannot select to utilize any apps. I notice some small dark spots in the screen, they do not impair use of the screen but they are noticeable. Any hints?

Have you tryed this method: 1 run blackberry desktop 2 take the battery,sim, and sd card out 3 connect your blackberry to computer why decktop is running without the battery sim and sd card and let me know what it says

Ok.. it says...

Blackberry desktop s/w cannot communicate with the connected device.....
If the device is rebooting or has a dead battery click retry... blah blah

I updated it this morning thru BB Desktop... running OS 7.1 Bundle 1716

Yeah but when you did that did it say update cause when you click that it says repair

yes . it did ask to repair...

Ok put the battery in and click repair my friend hope it gose well let me know

:/ sorry it didn't work has your mate dropped it by any chance sound like sumthings come out of place :/

i assume it was dropped... i had a technician check it yesterday while overseas. he says i need a digitzer and some I/C but he doesnt have them in stock... i will try and get another phone to salvage parts from.
