Just Curious
I just wanted to know how many people have had their 9930's/9900's for a decent amount of time without them bricking or nuking. I just upgraded to the 9900 and I really like the phone, but do have that worry in the back of my mind that it will mess up. I set my alarm clock beside my bed for 10 mins later than my phone just in case something happens to it. Thanks for anyone's participation in my curiosity.

9900 from launch... never nuked, and obviously not bricked either.

I'm with at&t so I just have their official OS version on my bold 9900. I don't have a clue how to download leaked versions. Everything seem to be working fine on my phone though. I even get pretty good battery life. Not as good as my 9700 was, but I still have around 40% at the end of the day.

Thanks for all the input everyone! It makes me feel a lot better the more people I hear actually hasn't had the bricking/nuking problems!

No one usually posts to say "my phone is working as it should do".
The majority of posts are asking for help when problems arise.
I would guess that only a very small percentage of the phones sold worldwide have suffered issues and am equally sure that a fair percentage of the "problem phones" are ultimately down to user error !!!Bold 9900 on Vodafone UK running BL Ultimate Hybrid RC15 on Do Co Mo .923 Base and .sfi

Mine got nuked twice.
Once spontaneously, and once during an OFFICIAL software update.Nash - 06-14-2012, 11:46 AM

How was your battery life before you loaded a leaked OS? Mine seems to be pretty good. Nothing like some people experience. How is your battery life now after the leaked OS? I am probably a moderate user and I still have about 40% when I go to plug it in around midnight every night. I think that's pretty good battery life. Not like my 9700, but I can do more on this phone.

Nuke-free since early November 2011. Or December. Can't remember. What was the question?

The battery life is about the same although I have two back up batteries just in case!
I wish the battery life was as good as my old Bold 9700, but you can't have it all! I would take the 9900 over the 9700 any day of the week, since the 9900 has so many cool features.
I'm glad I made the switch, one thing I love about BB phones is that if they start acting squirrelly you can do a security wipe and reload the OS. Try doing that with an iPhone or a Windows phones.

I have had 2 9900's, but none nuked/bricked. I got my first one in mid December last year, and had to warranty it because the screen started lifting. I received my replacement from T-mobile in mid January. My replacement is still perfect.

Just Curious
I've had mine since October 2011 with no major problems.
The only problems I've had so far are memory leaks, and the annoying spinning clock.
The device analyzer helps a lot, but I'm finding that I must restart my phone everyday so it won't lag. Its no big deal really but I wish I didn't have to.
Battery life has been consistent since I've had it. I usually get 12-16hrs depending on use. I keep my wifi on 24/7 and don't alter any settings.
I've only updated my OS to .267

Bought mine right after launch, loaded a leaked OS right out of the box, and have loaded many leaks since that day. Never had a problem.

I've had my 9930 since Nov 11. The phone is great, the best that I've had in a long time. This is my thrid Berry. I have tried all leaks having to downgrade twice because of terrible battery. This past March my keyboard stopped working (lots of text and emails) i had to take it in and received a refurbished 9930 (wasn't too happy) but my 9930 is still a great phone. Hope you enjoy yours.

I've only had my 9900 for a week or two, but I have about 15 users with 9930s and have never seen this problem. Other than a touchscreen that went out, we have seen no other problems.

That was one of my main concerns as well OP, and I took a leap of faith
. I happy to report that my Sprint Bold 9930 has been operating as smooth as a baby's bottom since day one with the original Sprint OS7.1
