JavaScript problem on 9900
Hoping someone can help me with the problem I am having with my 9900.
When I have JavaScript enabled there are lots of websites where when I go to them, the page seems to almost finish loading and then the screen flashes white followed by the browser closing with the message "The Browser closed unexpectedly. Do you want to reopen the pages you had open?".
If I disable JavaScript in the browser then this does not happen and some of the websites will work fine, but of course there are some that actually need JavaScript.
I am running OS 7.1.0.402. This also was happening with other versions of 7.1 but I can't recall if the same was true with 7.0.
Any suggestions how to fix?
Thanks! - 05-06-2012, 02:36 PM #2
can you please give us some of the sites so we can try them?

The only site I can think of at the moment is bgr.com.
I know I have run into others...just can't recall which ones at the moment. Will update if I can find more.
edit: starbucks.com and sitepoint.com are two more sites that don't work - they seem to load at first, but then I get the white screen and error as described.
Thanks!Last edited by root2; 05-06-2012 at 07:24 PM.

Just bumping this thread - anyone ever come across this problem or have suggestions that might fix it? I have tried re-installing OS more than once (now running official Rogers 7.1.0.391).
Thanks. - 06-02-2012, 04:04 PM #6

Wow, clearing the cache totally worked.
That's embarassing I didn't even try that before multiple OS reloads.
Thank you!!
