    Has anybody tried installing the 9900 firmware onto a 9930 from verizon? I cannot find any new firmwares for 9930 while found a few firmwares for the 9900.

    It is different. Unless you're installing a hybrid, don't try to install a gsm software on a cdma device and vice versa.
