I've read related posts but mine is not an unlocked 9900 or traveling outside US. Turn on phone in an area with known 4G good reception. Get the" initializing sim card". Sometimes it asks for BBID. It dosn't like my BBID Password,which I know is correct. Do a battery pull to get past the bbid. Then I get e mail message "bb protect. Bbid user authethentication required "original sim card came with att bold 1.5 years ago. Updated to the 7.1 last sept. New jm-1 battery and sim card/contacts are real clean, sim tray looks fine sim card fits tight. Time for a new card? Thanks for any ideas.
