well what you have to do is search for 7.1 download through google, i think crackberry may even have a link for it. then all you do is save it to your desktop, open up desktop manager, connect your device. A popup on your computer should say it is found a new os for your phone and would you like to update. *before you do make sure to backup and sync your phone*. then go ahead and update to the new os. if you are on a blackberry enterprise server (bes) for work make sure to check with your it department if 7.1 is supported. 7.1 is great i have it on my 9900 but the battery life is a tiny bit shorter than 7.0.x BC of NFC and hotspot but in my opinion it is well worth the benefits. anyway good luck and enjoy!

As a newbie just start up desktop manager - plug your phone in via the usb cable - your network / carrier will tell you what update is available for you.
Do a backup, you will see this button on the desktop manager screen - then update.
*other poster. He is a newb. He don't know how to do an official update let alone a leak.

No, if you clicked on the link in the sticky at the top of the page, then that's .342 for the 9930 not for the 9900.
Forget about downloading anything. As you're inexperienced at this, just plug your phone into your PC and open Desktop Manager. This should automatically update you to 7.1.0.284 for T-Mobile which if fine for starters.• That's Phill… with 2 L's ☺ - 05-11-2012, 10:15 AM #18

Nasir, any 7.1 is leaps and bounds better than 7.0..........I thought your update would have been done hours ago buddy.
