- Okay, I have an iPhone 4 right now and the touchscreen keyboard is driving me crazy. I had a Blackberry 8800 before I got this and I loved it, but was slowly falling apart. I really want to get the Bold 9900 because it looks great and I love the Bold keyboard.
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to use my mom's upgrade to get Bold 9700 because I can't stand the iPhone keyboard any longer, then I can exchange it for the 9900 when it comes out. Tell me what you all think, thank you!07-23-11 03:18 PMLike 0 - Just wait if you can, and use the upgrade for the 9900. Why waste it? If you want a Bold 9700 for now go to ebay.07-23-11 03:19 PMLike 0

I don't know exactly but T-Mo might have around Aug.
Almost all Canada is looking at Aug as well.
We assume it is late August.
I'd still wait if I were you.
However, I'd sell the iPhone ASAP to get the most money from it. (Before iP5 comes out)

The point of me telling you this, is that... SELL NOW - because the price you'll get for the iPhone 4 will go down even during that interim period from when the new model is announced and when it actually hits the streets. You have some time, but that announcement could come any day - if monday morning apple said "we're doing a press conference a week from now", everybody will assume it's for the new phone, and i'm pretty sure the # of iPhone 4's on eBay will skyrocket.07-24-11 12:04 AMLike 0 - I considered doing the same with my phone but I can still get $150+ out of it. You can do a lot better with your i4. I say buy a cheap backup when needed and sell now while your phone still has value. Say you need to buy a replacement 1 year down the road, it won't cost you nearly as much as what you would get for your i4 today. It is your $ so do as you please07-24-11 12:30 AMLike 0

Not sure which iPhone 4 you have, but look at what they're paying (exclude the original iPhone on the left) - those prices are real, assuming the phone is in good condition and you ship it to them with a charger. If you have a 32GB ... that's an expensive drawer-toy, lol.
great example: 314 days elapsed between the day I bought my iPad 1 ($829) and the day I did an eBay instant sale for $540 (I sold it the day the iPad 2 was announced). That works out to the ipad costing me $0.91 a day! Pretty good deal I think for a pretty powerful device. Today, the same iPad 1 model is down to $350 on Instant Sale.
on a side note, i did turn around use the $ to buy an iPad 2, which is going for a whopping $616 right now in Instant Sale. Really thinking of unloading it on there since i like the playbook.Last edited by 2001bmw330xi; 07-24-11 at 07:55 AM.
07-24-11 07:53 AMLike 0 - I'd wait, from what I've heard, the 9900/9930 full size qwerty keyboard is the best yet so far from RIM...and like everyone else says, it'll be less than a month away for most major US carriers when the Bold 9900/9930 is released.07-24-11 08:21 AMLike 0
- I have a 32 GB iPhone 4 and I don't really need the money from it. So, I can use it as an iPod for the time being haha.
I also found a BB 9700 for $85 on Craig's List. I don't know if I should trust it or not. I already talked to the seller through email and he seems genuine, but you never know over the internet... The sale says it's in perfect condition and that it only as minor scrapes and scruff on the sides. There was also a picture and it looked pretty legit. So, what do you all think? $85 is pretty cheap...07-24-11 10:52 AMLike 0 - I sold my 9780 for $277.24 so $85 for a 9700 is cheap (I picked up a 8900 for $16.31 as a back up phone lol)07-24-11 11:17 AMLike 0

I would meet the guy in public and look at the phone, you have the right to back out at any time if it isn't what he said it was.07-24-11 06:52 PMLike 0 - I sold my 9700 using Instant Sale last month for $125 (down to $110 now I think) - the 9780 will get you $15507-25-11 02:10 AMLike 0
