I think I might have messed up my 9900 and may have to replace it. Since my contract with T-Mobile is not up until December my options are limited.

1) Pay T-Mobile a ridiculous amount of $ for a new 9900

2) Pay T-Mobile a $200 ETF and go somewhere else

3) Buy a used 9900 on Amazon or E-Bay.

If I buy a used 9900 do I need to verify any information first?

Does it matter if it was used on BES (I'm on BIS)?

Do PIN's need to be released by BlackBerry?

Can I just buy a phone and put in my SIM card and use it?

I say just buy one on ebay I'm sure you can find one for 150ish dollars or with that money you could cancel your contract and get a new blackberry 10. If you do get a 9900 on ebay make sure it works on the same frequencies that tmobile uses and make sure its not a BES blackberry as it might not have a pin.

Thanks. I called BlackBerry and asked them if there was anything special I needed to look for and they told me even if it was used on a BES I can wipe it and install the OS and it will work. They did suggest I try to get a TMO branded device.
