I cracked my screen but its working fine. Need help
Hey guys,
I've cracked my screen on my 9900 and the touch doesn't seem to be working any more, although when passing my fingers on the screen I don't feel any crack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If someone can tell which part I should buy in order to fix this I would really appreciate it.
If you can recommend me a good plae to buy it online in Canada it would be great also.
Thanks - 01-13-2013, 11:17 PM #2

You probably want to get a new LCD screen. I have replaced the majority of parts on my 9930 and it is like new now! It is very easy to replace it yourself.
Just go on Amazon and look for BlackBerry LCD screen and make sure you buy the correct one. They have the best prices. There is a number stamped on the back of your current broken LCD screen so buy the same version. This is also a good place to buy parts: http://www.dealsishop.com/blackberry...FWaCQgodZBwAMA
You can look onYouTube for videos on how to take apart a 9930. - 01-14-2013, 09:28 AM

Thanks a lot.
But rather than changing just the LCD, if I want to change the whole screen is there different models, or there's only 1 type? - 01-14-2013, 10:47 AM #4

Well you have to match up the model numbers because that's the only type your device is compatible with. If you try to use a different one, it won't work...

Whats the exact piece that i must buy? Since im looking for the whole in one package, and not seperate parts such as LCD + Digital+etc. I want it all pre-assembled and all I need is to swap the two peices.
Thanks. - 01-15-2013, 03:17 PM #7

I found this one on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006FR...rackberry00-20
or

Just make sure you buy the correct part number. I think it's either 001/111 or 002/111. Match it up with your current broken one.. - 01-15-2013, 03:31 PM

Just remember to take your old lcd off your phone FIRST and look at the number stamped in blue ink on the back....its either 001 or 002...you have to order the right one or it wont work! *Grins*
