So nuked is firmware reflash or just a factory reset? Or is it send away for repair?
    Bricked is will not boot?
Is when it crashes/goes really slow a brick?
If you have to soft reset is that a brick too? Or is that a battery pull?

In human terms, "nuked" means you can fix it yourself. "Bricked" means you can't.

Cheers palomartian. In that case. No bricking, no nuking.
Have occasionally not being able to get a 3g signal but a soft reset fixed that.

Charged every night, it's now on long-term loan to my brother, he took it for a test drive three weeks ago, and he won't give it back. It's ok though, he left his Curve 3G as collateral. Now who's laughing?

The average user here is downplaying any problems on the 9900, quite sad. Google is swarmed with "my 9900 is dead" topics and no one knows how to fix it. Yet here if it hasn't happened to you, then surely its a lie. 9900s brick when you leave them to charge, no one knows why, but they do. Blaming the user seems to be the best policy here though, enjoy your tumbling stock prices croneys.
Clearly, you haven't a clue as to what you are talking about. Now why would people just lie about having, or not having issues? Get a life!

Hum... you had almost all leaks up to the current one. Most people now think that the bricking issues are caused by an OS error most likely an older OS 7.0 version. May be you are one of those lucky ones. Did you charge overnight when you were on those OS 7.0s?

Yeah, i've always been overcharging my 9900 overnight on every OS when i'm asleep.
So far it's all working fine though, i don't have noticed/experienced any issues so far,
by doing so. Can't see why it would brick on me when i overcharge it at night.
So i guess i'm one of those lucky ones eh.

One of my science teachers once said, if an answer to a problem is not found using one law or principles, may be several laws and principles contribute to an answer. I think this bricking and nuking issue fall under that.

Now I THINK, logically if it is hard to narrow down to a one cause such as a batch number, an OS built or a country of origin, overnight charging, etc then these issues are caused by combination of more than one cause. That's why it was hard for most of us to figure it out. At this market, if RIM came out with phones with issues like this for BB10, RIM will be done for sure.

Any one here know from some contact at RIM if they are still working on fixing these issues or they already have fixed them in one of those leaked OS 7.1s?

This poll shows me that RIM has NOT fixed it's devices. Just as I thought every single circuit board could have the defect and they do not even admit a problem. All RIM can do is try to program their OS to work around the defect(s).

I purchased my Sprint Bold 9930 on April 30th. I'm running the official Sprint OS7.1.0.267. Not sure where it was manufactured, but I've had ZERO problems with my Bold 9930. I charge it overnight every night with NO bricking or nuking issues. It's clearly the BEST BLACKBERRY I have ever owned. Battery last approx 10 hrs with normal usage on a daily basis. I carry an extra battery just in case (rarely use it). I am HAPPY with my 9930 performance

I'd say your opinion is skewed Gregg. The poll doesn't show anything but people who's Bold hasn't bricked.

Certified used from VZW, activated Feb 23rd. Zero nuke/brick issues, plenty of apps purported to cause it installed, battery drained to cutoff frequently, and charged overnight every night.

I absolutely, positively love love love this phone!!!
