Hi I bought my first BB last week deciding not to buy an android like everyone else and wanted a phone that's actually a phone.

I saw the new os release. I installed it on my pc and deleted vendor file, started the loader and still can't figure out how to install it on my device.

I searched on cb found an instruction but it didn't work and didn't find anything. So please help.

There may have hidden "vendor.xml" also need to be deleted. If you are using Win Vista / 7, check if there is a copy of "vendor.xml" under "C:\Users\<UserID>\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML\"

Should it show up in the loader if I delete those files then?

Thanks RoseBud68. I was trying to update and deleted the one vendor file but new I was forgetting something and couldn't remember what. Thanks.

There's 2 Vendor.xml files that required to be deleted before you proceed with the OS upgrade. One is under the same folder as your Loader.exe, another is like what other forumer said, copy paste under your 'Search Program and Files' and you be able to locate the other vendor file.
