my 9900's volume button somehow is spoilt maybe due to me keep using the holster in and out. finally the increase volume has died. the middle button seems to deteriorate also but the lower volume works fine.

my question is is there anyway to change the volume? because now im stuck with level 1 volume

Ugh that sucks...Did you have a look in options? I thought there was a way to adjust volume...

Welcome to CrackBerry! I don't have a 9900, but, have you checked under options for settings to adjust the volume?

there is only ringing volume that can be adjusted, but master volume to watch video, i have not found any yet

I poked around in my old 9930 and could not find anything, BUT I do have an idea. Get a headset with controls on it and use THOSE controls to turn up the volume.

Also adjusting the Audio Boost may help as well. Finally got a charge on my 9810

ok i have just tried that but it only increases the headset volume, if i want to use the speaker it goes back to the master (speaker) volume which brings back to the same qn.

So now it seems my bloody blackberry is doing the same, but it's the low volume button that has died... I am forever stuck
with a very, very, very loud phone. Any help?

I've had this problem with my 9930. My volume up key is still broken, but I was able to set my phone call volume default to 100%. So I can actually hear people when I talk on the handset. Buy yea hit the "phone" button then hit the "bb settings" button and it should let you set a default volume when calls come in. Now as for watching videos or listening to music, I have no idea haha

Yes, go to options> search "call" > go to In-Call Settings> set Default call volume to 100%.
