how to i free up some more app memory?
right now on my 9930, my application storage is the folllowing:
540 MB used, 3.9 MB free
system: 267 MB
application: 67.6 MB
other: 205.3 MB
free: 3.9 MB
i don't want to delete any of the existing apps on my 9930 because i use all of them. i already deleted other languages which i dont use and only have english on my 9930 now. so my question, can i free up some more space by deleting stuff from the "system" or "other" category? if so, how would i go about deleting some of it and where do i find it? step by step instructions would be great."Dedicated to mods who love to abuse their power:

I would recommend using an app called memory booster.

Re: how to i free up some more app memory?
Did you shrink the OS prior to loading?
Do as you would be done by and 12 pence to the shilling (or 100 cents to the dollar).

Memboo works well to free up some memory... sounds like your phone is packed with all kinds of stuff...might want to get rid of some unused apps ...

3.9 mb? I'd hafta see a screenshot, but that sounds highly unlikely. Not calling you a liar, but your phone wouldn't work with only 3.9 mb of free memory. You'd be looking at a spinning clock all day every day

i also reccommend shrinking your OS and installing a hybrid (berrylicious ultimate hybrid in the hybrid os section of these forums has worked beautifully for me), you can also use advance os and led to clear out memory and all logs (e.g. event log which i believe logs every click and button press on the phone for you to view) every 12 hours freeing up a bit of space

how to i free up some more app memory?
you must restart you phone at least every 2 days, just battery pull and insert back it before u going to sleep. this will clean up all the cache and everything, u should get at least 100mb space by doing is, if less than 100mb yeah either shrink os or delete some apps...

Download the OS you want to install to your PC.
Install it to your PC.
Download BB Hybrid Tools.
Run Shrink A-OS on the installed OS
Shrink out EVERYTHING except what you really want/need.
Then run apploader and install the OS.
Replace your apps/ themes/fonts.
I do this everytime I load an OS and I save from 100 -150MB.I'll Always Be Ramblin' in Rehab: Where the real Bold addicts are!

As others have suggested, shrink OS, delete unneeded/unwanted apps. Considering the amounts of apps you have on your phone, I would recommend a battery pull (or alt, shift, delete simultaneously) daily. I too would like to know how many apps you have on your phone to take up so much memory; sounds like a lot too me.

i don't have too many app or any app that used too much memory. ok i just freeze up some memory by deleting one app to free up 21 MB and today when i checked, it is 7 MB free which lead me to believe some kind of memory leak.
can any1 give me detail instructions how to shrink os? thx in advance."Dedicated to mods who love to abuse their power:
