I used to have a single row of icons, now I have a little triangle below, with no icons. If i tap on triangle, three rows of icons pop up. What did I do?

When all three rows are showing, just put your finger on the menu bar (where the triangle is) and slide it down toward the keyboard until just one row remains.

Thanks. I've become touchscreen illiterate after going to Blackberry from Treo. But it's all coming back now.

At the home screen, press the BB button. You can set the icon rows there.

That sets the number of icons per row, not the number of icon rows. The correct answer was already given above.
