I just did a quick look and did not find this topic.

When using Universal Search, occasionally, I get a Search History Screen. But I've not exactly figured out when it appears or what causes it to appear. Is there a specific method to trigger it or bring it up? It might serve to save a step or two if I can trigger its appearance.

I looked at my search history to see if I could pick up on a pattern, but to my surprise it was empty. I searched for something (specific notepad memo), did not open item, and then closed Universal Search. I went back into it and it was blank. So I searched for the item again and opened it this time around. I closed item and backed out of Universal Search. I re-opened Universal Search and the item I opened showed up in search history.

So I am guessing when you search for anything on your device, it will not show it in the history unless you actually open the item or app.
