How do you carry your Bold 9900?
I'm new to the Forum, so forgive me if this is the wrong spot.
Quick poll to ask how do you you carry your 9900. Belt holster, sleeve and in pocket, hard case and in pocket, no case and in pocket or other?
I don't like screen protectors. I had them on my Palm Pilots and Windows Mobile devices, but they always had negative impact on performance. Is the 9900 tough enough to ride in a pocket with spare change or a breast pocket, being careful not to let it slip out after bending over....
I have a leather sleeve that I've been using for pocket carrying, but I have to remember to lock the screen/keyboard before sliding it in. If I don't, sometimes weird things happen to the Home key and I have to do a battery pull to get it right again.
Help?????

Beautiful white 9900, without a silly screen protector, and it's almost always in the pouch when I'm not using it!
For the pouch, I've started to incorporate pressing the lock button as I slide it into the pouch, so I put my index finger on the lock key at the top and push it in which also locks it at the same time - works for me at least!
EDIT: Have to share the battery cover, since the phone is almost always in the pouch!

Black 9930.
Otterbox Commuter.
And the included screen protector. I can't stand a broken/scratched device. It would destroy me.Love, Death

Bold 9930 with the Blackberry Hard Shell Case. I also use a screen protector. I have recently purchased the Seidio Active Case combo with the holster w/swivel clip. I do a lot of hiking in the metro parks here. I also have the Seidio charging pod and it works with the Seidio active case. I don't have to remove my Seidio active case to use my charging pod!!

OtterBox Defender... I drop the phone on the ground and benches etc, etc. I don't think the phone will last long without it.

Most of the time I carry Bold 9900 in front pant pocket without any case or protection. Many pants (dress & Khaki) have coin pocket within and bold fits nicely. I try to put keys and coins in other pocket. I never ever wear in holster on the belt. A "few" years ago I went to a southern USA engineering school where some clipped slide rules to the belt. A phone or device reminds me of the geeks of that era.

Otterbox commuter with Seidio active holster. On the belt, and using old style OEM blackberry earbuds (with the long wire) looped around the collar. I use voice dialing, so the phone usually stays in the holster unless I'm doing emails.

I have it in my belt holster 95% of the time. I'm over 40 and married so I think it's socially acceptable for me now.

I carry mine naked, i mean thats really defeating the purpose. Its bold and beautiful why hide it in a thick ugly case? I am very careful with my phone, always so its not an issue for me.

I'm not worried so much about a scratched screen (the glass is pretty damn good these days), but the glass DOES pick up fingerprints so I've put an iShieldz screen protector on mine.
Otherwise, I keep it naked. Afraid it wouldn't fit in the desktop charger otherwise (and I REALLY like the way it looks in the charger on my bedside table). - 04-04-2012, 05:05 PM #23
