I know I'm missing something simple, but is there a trick to removing the 9930 battery door? I'm lifting where the notch is with some degree of force, but nothing gives.

I just use my fingernail and some pressure. At first I was afraid that I'd break something but it works fine.

Yea, as Andy said, it does require some force, but that's the way it comes off. So don't be scared...

I have looked at the vids. They seem to just pop the door off easily. Mine will not do that. That is why I'm asking the question.

I don't have very strong fingernails and I was afraid that I would break the door. I watched the video and then got a (non-sharp) butter knife and gently popped off the door. Maybe it will get easier in time?

Yeah, it feels like there is a film and you have to wedge it out somehow, I was scared of damaging the door when I first bought it, you just get used to it.

I wouldn't use a knife on the door. You risk damaging it more than using your nails to get it open. Besides you wouldn't want to have the door getting easier in time then it'd just fall off!

I've been using a paper clip to open it. I am NOT breaking a nail for this phone!

I used a piece of stiff cardboard from my sd card. Did the trick.

I paper clip or a thin dime will do it nicely.
