So I'm rockin a Tmobile 9900 updated to .284 for the hotspot feature to use for my playbook when I'm on the go and loving everything about this new os except one thing... My hotspot keeps turning itself off. I even went as far as installing leaked os .342 and still same issue. Hotspot automatically shuts off on its own after about 5 min. I've done battery pulls downgraded back to the official os and then back to the leak. Nothing. Someone help me rid of this horrible horrible issue. Please and thank you.

Did u use any app that shuts off wifi automatically if not in use for given time? Like "wifi alerts for blackberry"? I had this problem before.

Mine keeps shutting off too. I think Ive narrowed it down to the wifi monitor in Fixmo tools. I havent tested it out yet but will let you know.

I had others issues with that app. It would put duplicate entries in the drop down menus. For multi copy and multi paste. How ironic.

Hotspot will turn off when you hit your battery saving mode threshold. My BSM is set at 50... Anytime I hit that mark, hotspot turns off.

Fixmo Tools turns your wifi on and off. It works just perfect if you set it up right.

I have been having this problem recently and am happy to hear that there may be a solution. I downloaded Fixmo Tools when RIM was giving it away free and am removing it now. I hope it fixes this problem for me too. Thanks for the info!

@Dustanh If Fixmo can be set up to work without randomly turning WiFi and/or Hotspot off, please tell us how to do it.
